The Great Gentling
Reflections on Soul and Soil
My pastoral call might be best summed up in these two words: soul and soil. I care about people's souls. Jesus saw tired and weary souls and invited people into a new and abundant life with him. I also care about the health of our soil, of creation. Because I care about soul and soil, I hold certificates in spiritual direction and horticultural therapy. I believe every home and every church should have things like prayer nooks and healing gardens. It is here that I reflect on matters of the soul, soil, and being fully alive.
